I actually got a bunch. Ready?

I encountered a Krabby in Silver and caught it
Then of course there was the Red Gyarados in Silver
I encountered a wingull in Sapphire and caught it
I encountered a Seviper in Emerald and caught it
I encountered a geodude in LeafGreen and didn't have pokeballs
I encountered a gastly in LeafGreen and caught it
I encountered another geodude in Diamond and caught it (revenge!)
I encountered mime jr. in Diamond and caught it
I Chained a bidoof in Diamond and caught it
I found a togepi in the GTS and traded for it
I found a dusclops in the GTS and traded for it
I found a Deoxys in the GTS and traded for it
Then the Gyarados in Heartgold
And now I realize how lucky I am.

I have one in each generation. Except for Gen 1 which doesn't really have shiny pokemon.
Gold Paras in Silver.
Red Duskull in Ruby.
Bluish-Green Swinub in Platinum.

All were random encounters.

The first one i seen was a shiney Hoppip which i evolved into my awesome PINK male Jumpluff lol but it really was pretty good. The second one I seen was a blue Swinub in ice cavern the my Noctowl critical hit and fainted... it made me so mad that I fainted the Noctowl then released it. The last one I seen was a bronze Poochyena at the very beginning of Sapphire chasing Prof Birch so yeah... Couldn't catch it so I got mad again. Shinies just seem to like aggravating me ><

I've been playing Pokemon for years now, and not once, have I ever found a shiny. Many people I know have shinys, but I haven't ever seen one. I did get a sneazl with the Poke virus though, that made me happy.

I ran into 2-3 shiny Spinaraks in my old Gold version. That specific pokemon aren't that rare being shiny, but the rest (besides Red Gyrados, who you can't and won't pass up) are really rare. I think I ran into a shiny oddish or something like that as well in my silver version to.
