Um... if you mean that they should make a 2d side-scrolling game that has pretty much everything that Super Mario World had, then may I introduce you to New Super Mario Bros. Wii? It is the same formula with new features added... If NSMB Wii isn't what you're meaning, then what exactly would you want to see from a remake?

Also, if some people who read this don't know, there was originally going to be a sequel to Super Mario World on the CD-I called Super Mario's Wacky Worlds, and a quick Google search will lead you to a site containing a video that shows exactly why this game wasn't released (thank goodness).

There isn't exactly a very good reason. I mean if you want us all to be baby Mario, Luigi and toads on Yoshi's that would make sense. They could just rename it and call it Yoshi's call. Since there was already a Yoshi cookie. Other wise it would be useless. At this stage though I think Nintendo's just milking out all of Mario's fame.

Need I remind you, as ExiledPariah said, that New Super Mario Bros. Wii is exactly like SMW on the Wii with some new powerups? That's really all it is, the SMB3 map/level progression style with SMW mechanics (They even have spin jumps and yoshis!).
