Sometimes there are things that are hard to say without using posts that are shorter than 10-word posts. If it's gonna be applied, it's like forcing a newbie to spam by adding words in his post that are not needed just because there is a limit of at least 10 word per post for newbies or else it's Viz deduction time. 5 is just fine.

So just to clarify something- do we still lose Viz for creating threads? It always says I do, but in the past I've read in a couple places and posts saying it is not true. And yeah, I could have tested it out by checking my Viz count after creating a thread. Didn't think of that until now.

I think that rule should be altered, at least dont have it take away Viz for trusted members or normal members. Even though it might prevent spam it also prevents threads from being made.

Take away Viz when making threads = less activity & possibly less spam
Give away Viz when making threads = more activity & possibly more spam BUT we do have a very handy solution to spam called "MODS" so I don't see why we can't use this method instead.
