Little by little, it is getting hot enough for black flies, wasps, mosquitoes and ants to run rampant (or fly) everywhere. No sooner do I go out to my car, a swarm of black flies comes at me and I have to get inside my car quick. I live in an area where insects are plentiful, but I would prefer this than the city any day. How are the insects in your area?

Where I live, the insects are only at moderate levels, except in certain areas. Where the high school has cross-country practice is basically a mosquito breeding ground. And of course there is a month of early morning practices before school starts, so it's pretty bad.

Well, in summer where I live (Melbourne, Australia), the place is usually hot and literally swarming with insects and bugs, to name a few. Although it doesn't affect me too much, it's quite annoying when time comes to.

During the summer, mosquitoes get so bad here (Manitoba, Canada) that you can't even sit outside. Mosquitoes are jokingly referred to as our provincial bird. In May and June canker worms are very bad. They hang from the trees, get in your hair. It's nasty.

mosquitoes.... that's the worst we generally get where I live. Sure there are spiders and flies and what not.... but the mosquitoes are the most annoying. They travel in swarms and are really hard to get rid of.

I live next to a forest so a lot of bugs i guess. The bats come out at night to take care of a lot of the mosquitoes which is cool.

Its not so bad for me yet, but it will get worse by summer. We already have mosquitoes coming out at dusk, but we don't get bats to come and kill them. Of course, they love to follow me into the car so I look like an idiot flailing around and smashing stuff...

I used to live in lousiana and the bugs there are awful we had giant spiders everywhere in our back yard.At night they would get so loud i would leave my tv on in my room to drown out that annoying insect sound.

I was just thinking about this. Im in New York, USA. I don't get too many flies, cept near garbage or dumpsters. Beetles? Not much, rarely honestly.
