I have. During my Martial Arts sparring, I have to go against big, strong dudes, just because I'm 14 and weigh around 160. (No, I'm not fat, I'm tall and big.) I was once round housed right the jaw, and I couldn't talk right for a week! I think I broke my jaw somewhere too...

Oh, I've been hit pretty hard. I've been knocked out a couple times training. Also been hit pretty hard in a couple fights I've been in. Its pretty rough.

I have a few times, it hurts. But only for a brief period of time. Not wnough to knock me out or anything though.

I used to fight a bit when I was a kid. I been hit pretty hard before. Never knocked out but one time I got RRREEEEEEEEEEL woozy. You can feel it in your knees. Its like being drunk all of a sudden but without all the cool side effects.

I was hit hard once. I got trapped in the bathroom by a few kids that hated me. Most of them were wusses and just stepped back and lwt their leader fight. He hit me really hard on my jaw. But I eventually made him bleed and escaped.

While practicing in my marial arts class, I got back-kicked in the face. Luckily it was only my cheeck but it wasen't pretty.

Oh my god, that sounds incredibly painful. But, I can't say I haven't seen it. My best friend was side kicked directly in the mouth, and he lost three of his teeth! It was VERY hard to watch...

I've been hit hard a couple times. Once, I passed out from having the wind knocked out of me from a kick to the ribs, and the other time was from a high school bully sucker punching me in the side of the face. Didn't hurt, it just caught me off guard. I actually laughed at him when he did it because I felt bad for him for the beating I was about to deliver to him. I'm a lover not a fighter but sometimes you have to make exceptions.

Back when I was in Tae Kwon Do I took a kick to the side of the head a few times... that helmet does NOTHING! Also been hit by a car, which is a hard hit I assure you. Been in a few scraps as well, though I tend to notice that I'm usually the one that hits harder.

I have been in a rollover accident into a ditch and got a concussion from that.
Another time I had a little bit too much to drink and decided it would be a good idea to punch the biggest guy at the party in the face(Don't remember much of this) for no reason... FML I ended up covered in blood, he did quite a number to my face.

Elara : I take Tae-kwon-do, and yes, the helmet is useless. Mine is just hard and itchy, and it doesn't do a thing to protect me in ant way.

But I have been knocked out twice, still have a good ratio though.

I've been in alot of fights when I was younger and I got really hit hard in the face but it didn't knock me out But 2 of the fights that I have been in I knocked 2 of the guy's I was fighting out. I have been in 8 vehicle wrecks in my life time 7 of them I wasn't driving and 1 of them I was. 2 of them I was hit really hard by the air bags and glass.

someone elbowed me in the head one time in an attempt to start a fight with me.... thankfully I didn't fall down from it (I didn't see it coming). A friend of mine was with me who is much bigger than I am and when I didn't fall down this guy decided to leave me alone.

I've also been beat up outside of a pub before. I got bumped by some guy while I was playing pool... I gave the guy a dirty look and he walked away. I went to leave with my girlfriend and 4 guys followed me outside. I handed my girlfriend the keys to my car and told her to run. I stayed, got beat up, and went home. It was a pretty crappy night, but thankfully she was okay.

Well i helped out a friend that whas attacked by another guy,when he got helped the other guy got mad because he didnt get to smash him all down so he punched me as hard as he could in the eye luckyly i had my glasses on and they are HARD.

Sometimes for me. I do Tae kwon Do as well, but the girls in my division don't tend to kick as hard as the guys. Which makes it a lot easier to fight them. Usually, I end up being the one who hits people, but it's always by accident. (I was doing a reverse hook kick and I accidentally caught the holder in the jaw. It didn't help that he was holding the paddle right in front of his face, but I felt awful). I've gotten a single knockout in all of my fights (hit a girl with a down kick to the face. Enough said), but I've made a couple cry. Usually, I feel terrible afterwards, but I can't help it.
Once, we were playing a very messed up version of basketball where you could tackle the people to get the balls in buckets. Needless to say, I was assigned to guard a bucked and got tackled by a guy who probably weighed around 180 pounds or so. Giant bruise on my head and arm, I think I blacked out (I can't be sure, I don't remember), but no bones broken. I got sooo lucky.

~sakura~ : I don't have the guts to spare. I hate fighting, and plus, I'm usually to slow to get a hit in. On the plus side, I know when to dodge and counter.

davidmull12 : Don't worry about it. I was as slow as a brick when I first started, but I'd like to think that I've improved after practicing. Trust me. If you're as tall as I'm estimating you are, sparring is a lot easier than it looks. I would start practicing at your Tae Kwon Do school first though, just to avoid any problems you might face at local tournaments (you can get knockouts there, so be wary). It takes some time, but if you can find an opportunity to kick the guy as if you were doing a break, he probably won't be fighting back. Its also very useful to know when to dodge and counter- that's a skill that's much harder to teach then technique.

I never thought of it that way. But, I am a little heavy, so the speed factor may be weaker. All in all, however, I could do that. Also, I'm 5'8.
