Absolutely not. the iPad is a complete waste of money. Buy a freaking iPod Touch. It does the same thing and actually fits in your pocket. This is actually a step backwards for Apple in my opinion.

I'm much more likely to get an iPod Shuffle (previous generation. I hate the new one) with the money, which costs MUCH less and, combined with my 17" Toshiba laptop, does everything that the iPad does, and as a Windows system my laptop is good for what I got it for: to play some freaking entertaining honest-to-goodness games.

It depends. how much money are we talking about? and how much does an ipad cost? accordingly, it's just a bigger and more expensive iphone touch. but does it feature any thing else new? or just a bigger touch screen? more importantly, do you already have a smart phone? and do you really need another one right now? it's these sort of things that should be broght to mind when considering these things. personally i think the whole concept of it all is over-rated and i would rather spend my free monbey getting something actually important, like VIDEO GAMES, perhaps???!!!
