I Definetly think that vizzed should. I would go insane with happiness

Well the dalphine emulator works just fine for gamecube games, I don't see why it can't be implemnted into the vizzed emulator.

It won't happen...You need a powerful computer to make any sort of GameCube game run halfway decent...Plus the file sizes are much to large. I could go on but why bother...It won't happen, end of story...

I think we shouldn't push the limits of the server. If you just keep adding generations like bricks on a block house everything's going to come crashing down. You have to understand that everything the server sends to your computer to emulate is processed by the server as well, which means more strain on it if we get 50, 100, or even more Vizzed members using it at one time.

So I have to say no. It'd be cool, but it would stop very quickly when David got his Internet bill and shut down the site.

Oh wow... here's another thread about putting 6th generation game systems on Vizzed. It's not gonna happen guys. At least not now. Probably not in a couple years. As Crawldragon said before me, it's pushing the server to its limits. Plus, the Gamecube is not a retro system. It's a sixth gen. That's the last gen. It's still pretty recent. So if you'd add GC, you would have to add the other systems and that would be a disaster.

Seriously sites just can't throw around gigs can they? They should be able to shouldn't they? Especially with the fact that they have to pay more the more gigs. I think they should throw all there money away for us. Especially since the games will freeze anyway. So I sincerely hope that they rip a popular system thats still selling and giving money to the company's like the wii. Then spend allot of money to keep the site up. With horrible quality games and them all freezing. Oh yes then the government would come and shut down Viz. But it would all be worth it right?...right?(Everyone leaves the room) Guys come on this is a great Idea! (Guy runs after) I know we can get the Xbox or the ps2 come ooooooon!


All sarcasm in this story was based on fact and turned into fiction to reach a point and for some users enjoyment.

If this is a hypothetical thread (like "wouldnt it be cool if we had this" but not saying we should) then I can move this to VG polls and crazyness, otherwise this looks like a request thread or a "why cant we have this" thread, in which case it will have to be closed.
So let me know which it is.

Reasons why we can't have these things:
If you want to wait for an hour to play a game and only be able to play 1 game a month, then sure.
PS/GC/XB games are all very large and would take about that long to download and load for all but the most extreme connections.
Also, the site doesn't have unlimited space and bandwidth, after a few games would be played, the site would go down for a month.
And we mustn't forget that this is all to be done through an internet browser, people are still having problems getting n64 to work for them, imagine the problems they would face with higher systems.
Another thing is that as has been said you need a decent pc to play these higher end systems with the emulator itself, and that's without sharing any system resources, a plugin has to connect to a server that is already running 10 other emulators at any given time.

So it would cost alot of money every month (like $1,000 at least) to keep the server running, we would need 10 times that to get a coder to make the GB/PS/XB for plugin use (unless someone wants to code for free) and only people with super high speed internet (usa residents only in other words) would be able to use it.
Oh yeah, and each game would be at least 500Viz each.

As much as I would like to say "yes", it would be near impossible. I mean come on, it's not like this already has been asked before. There are SO many issues with it, so when it comes down to it, unfortunately, the answer will always be the same. "No."

Yeah DH beat me to it, if this is a suggestion which it sounds like to me, this thread will have to be closed due to it being a dupe. This question/suggestion has been proposed and answered numerous times. Gamecube games and basically most disc-based games, suck up too much bandwidth because they are of bigger size then the games you see in the RGR now. I'm going to close this for now. PM me with your intentions and I will consider opening if deemed appropriate...
