Hello everybody i just whant to ask what is your favourite MotherEarthbound game in the sereis i personnally like Mother 3 the best(Earthbound 2) how about you?

I really enjoyed mother 3 with the english translation patch. It's loads of fun. I beat the entire game and I still play it.

I started a review series on the Mother games before I left here my first time - I've got just about everything Mother related in my room at this moment and out of all my childhood/teenage obsessions it's the one thing that I refuse to pack away with the rest.

I like all three games, but ultimately I prefer the first game when it comes down to it. I play it like, once a summer and I think I'm about to boot up my third playthrough of Mother 3.

I liked Mother 3 a bit, but Mother 2/Earthbound's boss named You-Know-Who scares the crap out of me, and I never want to play that game because of that guy.

I hate Earthbound Zero. I've never gotten more than twenty minutes through it because they start you off way to weak, and you just get brutally dismembered by everything.

Earthbound, on the other hand, stands as one my favorite games of all time. I've never played any other game with the amount of insane creativity as this one.

Mother 3 isn't bad, but it just can't hold a candle to Earthbound. The game takes itself way too seriously, and the fact that Earthbound didn't is why I love it so much. Mother 3 doesn't exactly suck, it's got all the qualities of a good game (tight battle system, likable characters, etc), but it's just that the story went way too far that I didn't want to play it anymore. Mother 3 went really deep in its overall story, and although that's usually not bad in most RPG's, it just didn't feel like it fit within the Mother universe. I mean Jesus, people actually dying, a sad love story (sure, this was made a little less serious since they were monkeys, but you get my point), and numerous other things all in something that's predecessors were ridiculously hilarious while at the same time keeping you playing? It's pretty out there.

Music in the series, no matter what game, is breathtaking. Mr. Batty Twist still gets me humming, Monkey's Delivery Service still gets my heart aching, and Pokey Means Business still gets me headbanging. The variety in the music is just marvelous.

I also gotta go with the first Earthbound, it's so epic. There was so much creativity in it and stood alone from other games. It's a classic and a game that probably can be considered one of a kind...
