I was just wondering if anyone is getting excited for the upcoming game - Red Dead Redemption. This is a game made by Rockstar Games (same company that makes Grand Theft Auto series) and will be an open world game set in the wild west.

What's your take and are you going to buy this game?

I'm still undecided since I'm not big into the wild west but I love open world games.

Well th game "Gun" was pretty good to me for PS2 and this game looks fairly good as well. I'll probably end up just renting it and beating it if I play it at all though. That's what I do with a lot of games except for the ones I really like and enjoy playing over & over again.

I try not to follow games that I am interested in too much because.. well quite frankly I get a big too pumped up and regardless of money issues, I will purchase them on release day. However I picked up a few bits of Red Dead Redemption here and there while surfing the net and I have to say that I want it extremly bad - but I promised myself I would only pick up the new UFC game this month.

I'm biting my lip, hoping I can rent it sometime.

However I picked up a few bits of Red Dead Redemption here and there while surfing the net and I have to say that I want it extremly bad - but I promised myself I would only pick up the new UFC game this month.

haha... I know the feeling. Just curious - what were the bits you picked up on the net that made you want this game extremely bad? I'm still trying to figure out if I want to buy this one and I actually have some extra $$ this month to spend on a game.
