Why not just ask someone to go with you as a friend? I'm single, but I asked my friend to go with me to my Prom. Also, she has her own boyfriend, so it's obviously not that big a deal. Just as long as you're not trying to sabotage them.

I remember the days when talking on the phone all the time was part of the relationship... that ended once I got out of high school. I prefer to talk in person.
