What system is it for? If it's for the GameBoy Advance, and that didn't work and there is no in-game save feature then sorry there is no other way. If it's for the GameBoy Color then double click the game screen, you wll see a menu appear, click save, a pop-up will come about asking you if you want to save, click yes, and game saved. To load, just repeat the process by clicking load instead of save, maybe that will help...
