I like the Kanto Region starter pokemon because it has Charizard and Blastiose. Two great pokemons, Charizard a powerful Fire type pokemon, and Blastiose who is a gigantic, hydro-pumping monster. Venasaur is also great with its grass and poison moves.

I like Hoen Region starter pokemon 2nd. Swampert is a great water/ground pokemon, who has a lot of advantages and powerful moves. Blaziken and Sceptile are cool too.

I like the Johto starters the best because of the fact that two of them stay one type all the way through their evolutions. Cyndaquil stays a fire type only and Tododile stays a water type only. They don't gain an extra type that gives them an extra weakness like Bulbasaur, Charmander, Torchik, and Treeko.
