Is there a way to alter your relationship with people on your friends list? For example, say I added someone as a friend a few months ago, and now we're really good friends, so I want to change them to A+ online friend, instead of just online friend. Or if I break up with/ get a divorce from my significant other, but on friendly terms, I don't want to still be listed as spouse/partner. Is there a way to do this that I haven't found, or do you have to remove them and then re add them to your friend list?

currently you have to remove and re-add that person.

Although David mentioned something about fixing that at some point. Because really I don't think those titles mean anything other than letting people know your opinion of the people you've added.

I don't think you can do anything about that. If they add you then you are listed on their friends list. I think you have to add them back in order for them to chat with you though. Not sure about that though since I haven't tried testing it.

You don't have to add someone back to chat to them, though they need to initiate the conversation as you wont see them in your "Who's Online" list.
You can also talk to anyone that's in a chat room as if they were on your friends list by clicking their name in the chat room.
