I would pick the soul mate. Hopefully, my soul mate would either be a trillionaire or be so amazingly perfect that we could live in a tiny shack on the highest peak of the Himalayas and still be happy.
Of course, worse case scenario, my soul mate has cancer and can only be cured with a billion dollars. Then I would have to pick the billion to save my soulmate and then end up having to lose my soul mate forever. That would be terrible.
