I don't get them TOO often but every now and then I do get them and they can get annoying sometimes, epically when I'm trying to talk or play and game and constantly hiccuping and losing my concentration.

Our home remedy, which hasn't failed yet, is a spoonful of peanut butter. My mother used to give me the 'spoon of sugar' or the 'drink of water' cures, but the peanut butter works even better (assuming you aren't allergic.)
