I had plenty of intense Mario Kart races when i played Mario Kart Double Dash alone or with family and friends. I don't have Mario Kart Wii , so i just have to deal with what I have lol. I remember playing this one time and someone was just about to cross the finish line and all i had was a green shell, so i aimed and shot it at him, and he got hit by it. As he was about to flip over and cross the finish, i drove as fast as i could at the finish and i managed to cross it first and win the race!! Or when a blue shell comes right when someone's about to win lol. I've had more interesting clutches but i can't seem to remember them :/. Anyone else have any awesome clutch moments?

I win a lot but occasionally I have one of those moments when I'm in second place and i use my powerup right before the other guy crosses the line. Its awesome.

it was yoshi on the beach tract just I was about to win he shot a green shell and hit me. Next he caught up to me and than in the last sec won the race which was horrible to me.

I was playing mario kart wii with my fiancee once, and I was totally winning by a huge amount, so I went and set up bananas all along the finish line except for one little part near the edge. Since I'd wasted so much time doing this, everyone caught up to me. When we were nearing the finish line of the last lap, me and her were lined up. Everyone had crashed into the bananas and there was only one left. Just as she was passing ahead of me with the drifting boost, she hit the banana and I won. She was so close to the line that skidding out from the banana made her pass and finish second. It was awesome

I managed to win right a split second before a blue shell hit me. I never under stand why the cpu racers can get the blue shell fairly easily when Your in 1st place but when someone else is you never ever hardly get it. I floor it when some one shoots a blue shell or sometimes slow down and stay next to other racers so the explosion can slow them down too. Sadly once the Blue shell is launched you cant avoid it anyway possible. I would advise trying to get other racers taken out in the blast or just floor it and drive as fast as you can.

Yeah i get these a lot ~ uaually when you start the last lap in last place because,obviously,you get the better weapons and you can steam your way through the field ~ i find the most satifactory way is to get the person in front with a thrown banana because it takes most skill ~ i love MK it can be so rewarding and so annoying

I've had around a thousand, one being winning the race by LITERALLY 1 second, at the point I got hit by a blue shell right before the finish and barely got enough speed p to beat I think it was Bowser or Yoshi by one second. I'm so lucky I picked a kart with good acceleration.
