Back to the question at hand I do not think they would put chips in newborns. As stated before it would be a risky operation and I really don't see what they would have to gain from doing so...yet. In the future yes, but they don't have the technology (or rather they don't have it set up yet) for what I have in mind.

Not to mention, if the decided to put chips into babies, many people would get angry that their children are being implanted with a chip for the rest of their lives, and would make the child when they grew up constantly worrying about what else the chip can do other then locate them. Course to locate them they would need to be able to receive a signal and I do not think that we have a power source that is safe to implant into children for the rest of their lives.

How could you hack into something implanted in someone's head? second thing is that they wouldn't implant it into the head right away. You could put in under the skin in, say the upper arm. It would provide much of the same functions with a much decreased risk of infection/death. I HOPE THEY DO IT. what a world it would be without money, credit cards... You brains has many more times the storage capacity of a desktop computer. Think how it would be if you could walk around listening to music playing, inside your head. maybe watching your favorite movie as you wait for the bus, or surfing the 3d internet? That "mark of the beast" is a load of crap anyways. anything to keep your followers scared and giving money to your church.
