I chose earthquake for the same reason Elara did. Small earthquakes happen on a daily basis in California, but most are too small to even be felt. Also, the city I live in wouldn't be as affected by an earthquake as a coastal city... so that's good.

Yes, I would say earth quake. But Natural disasters in general has been prophesied in the bible. So personally I am not surprised of the increase in the dangers of disasters and the increase in the number of them.

Hurricanes. We get them a lot where I live anyways, so we could just grab our Hurrican Preparedness kits and hop into our bathrooms with a crank radio and some canned food and just wait. Anyways, call me weird, but they are kind of fun, with the whoosing and the wind... never mind.
Of course, if they knock down power lines, leaving me without Air Conditioning, I would be very sad and would not be having as much fun.
Or pick your own. A nuclear winter would be really strange but kind of cool to grow a second head or a couple extra arms. Typing and playing piano would be soo much easier then.

Storms and blizzards are probally the tamest of all the choices so I would pick one of those I think.
