They do have a nice tank force. But it is the Merkava Mk4. It has a high survivability, but is slow compared to and M1A2 Abrams(us tank). The good thing about it is it's urban warfare capabilities. Different strokes for different folks. Its deffinatly a home defense tank, not an invasion tank(like the M1A2)
On a side note. Australlia is purchasing 50+ of the M1A2 tanks and will be active in 2007.

Australia dosnt have much defence force or anything. I dont think we'd be able to protect ourselve proply, if a countrie did a real invasion. Like US did to iraq. That was a huge invasion.

But still, you look at US's money backing, and research possible, compaired to israels. Not sayn israel is better than US or anythen, but I think for a tiny countrie, there fairly good.
