When I try to install COD4 on my Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7600, It won't detect after waiting about one hour on iw02.iwd.
i can't remember but the message was like Verfiy the exists and then something.
i've already tried 19 times when trying to install.

If it is stopping on the same file each time it sounds like either a damaged disk or a corrupted file if direct download. I'd check CoD forums for some specifics as well.

It's not a Damaged Disk because I have installed it on Windows 7 and XP, but it's stuck on iw02.iwd and I've already checked COD4 Fourms and still haven't found the answer.

It's a long shot but you can try copying the files from the disk to the hard drive and running the install from there. That's worked for me on some older games I've had that issue with (Dungeon Keeper 2). Another thing that has helped me in the past was to run the install executable in compatibility mode. It's not a really old game but since it is a new OS you may be running into unforeseen errors due to that. After that I think I'm about of of ideas. Good luck!

iw02.iwd Google that along with Call of Duty 4 problem and see what you get. Is the steam version a torrent or something? My guess though is you are missing something that is needed in order to play the game so like I said google it and see that you get because you will most likely find someone who encountered and solved this same problem.

My Call of Duty Modern Warfare is Legit 100%.
It worked on my Old laptop and it didn't encounter any problems when I installed on my old laptop(which was a XP).
When I googled it, the only thing I could find was I need a new iw02.iwd
