Don't know how "true" or "proven" that is, it's just from my personal experience with friends who can't open their eyes until they drink two monsters, and then they're as tired as regular people.

Your mother probably just wants you to not drink either of them, so she said that. Or maybe she saw something on the news, like a lot of paranoid moms do, and believed the fearmongering that the news usually is.

I guess that means we shouldn't drink too much water, drive, or play sports because any of those things (and pretty much anything else in life) could kill us.
