When you're into your 30s and look back into the decisions you took when you were just entering your 20s, normally you're faced with crazy choices and decisions that your youthful self foolishly made. I do have a few of those myself, but there's one choice I'll never regret and always remember with a smile on my face: becoming an active member of the Land of V.

It was late at night when I decided to take that step, and usually that's also a sign of bad choices, but once again this is proven wrong. I plunged into this place after years in the shadows and started a long journey through good, bad and worse times. I met some incredible people through the years, most of them gone forever but always remembered, and I challenged myself to be the best version of myself (though at times I also achieved being the worst version of myself).

The result is right before your eyes. A long thirteen years of history, guide making, CP hunting and a tidbit of aboosing my staff powers xD. A journey that still has a future, no matter how hard life hits me I manage to crawl back to the surface and return here, one of my last safe places. It's been an awfully long time since I've been properly active, but every now and then I have my peaks of activity and my latest plan is to keep it active for a longer while, if at all possible.

I'm glad I've managed to make it to what used to be one of my favorite numbers during my childhood and that I'm still checking in as regularly as I can. There's not much to say in this kind of thread as of late, but I did some interesting things during these past 365 days like entering the top 30 for most posts, though I made a lot more progress in real life and that looks to be the trend from now on. Anyway, as all veterans know, this post is merely an excuse to crack open a hundred cans of Vizzed Soda and spray the people to celebrate we're still here, we still enjoy coming here and we'll be forever thankful to this beautiful place and its (some less, some more) beautiful people.

I will definitely be here for more threads like this in the future and I can tell you I'll have many more things to tell you seeing how things are going. I have plans for real life that might take me away from here in due time, but before that happens I have a few things to do here. So if you excuse me, I'll go back to my chores and progress in my main quest and the other side quests that are lying around, because better to burn out than fade away.

Man this thread feels like I could have written it.... I think every veteran feels like this after a while.

You remember the good times but know those are long gone. And your good times and mine are from different eras probably but they are still there.

I have been quite nostalgic about this site recently. I've been digging into old threads and forums that probably haven't been viewed in years and remembering a lot. Like you said, some good, some bad.... but all memories I don't regret making.

Also, I'm not afraid of Triscuits.... you weirdo.
