Within the next month or two, I will be starting my own education company. The focus will be on SAT prep; I plan to reach out to high schools in my area and see if I can work with them to set up low-cost SAT prep classes for their students. I will also offer 1-on-1 SAT tutoring online. I may expand beyond SAT prep in the future, but this is the plan for now.

I am have a hard time coming up with a business name, however. I want something that seems professional enough for schools to want to partner with me. I was thinking of just going with "Teacher Tommy," but I feel that schools will be more inclined to work with me if I have a business name that actually sounds like a company.

Right now, I am leaning towards "CFL Academics." CFL stands for Central Florida. I feel like this will make the company feel more local to the school districts that I will be trying to work with, but it also won't repel online clients because "CFL" is not a well-known initialism outside of Florida. I could even come up with a secondary meaning of "CFL." For example, maybe it stands for Central Florida but also Critical Focused Learning.

I would definitely appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions!

Ok but how did you do on the SAT

That test cooked me I'm not gonna lie

Got that easy 36 on the ACT tho light work. Ill tutor ACT and you can do SAT.

I'd like 70% of profits. I guess we can call it something professional like Thing1's School of Failure or similar.

Sorry this post was unhelpful. Downvote if you want but I'll be checking the Contribution Points logs. Don't think I'll be abbreviating that one anymore.

Uh yeah fine name tho, it certainly sounds business-like. CFL sounds like a spring football league lmao. Wait it is. Canadian Football league. You remember when "Johnny Football" played there but did too much coke and got fired?

What was this post about?
