Who am I?

I'm known as a rage gamer by some. I tend to blame all my shortcomings at the skill front on characters I make fun of all game or on mechanics that piss me off, even if they didn't directly contribute to my failures. I've desk slammed a bunch and I've been yelled at to shut up by people trying to sleep in the house. Beyond that I swear I'm a sane, calm individual.

I'm not a hardcore gamer in any way, nor do I play any new titles that eat away like all my storage space. The so called triple A's I believe. I'm very much a minimalist in what my expectations are in terms of graphics and performance, as long as the game is fun to play.

I've hated shooters since I was a little kid. I also hate shooting video games, I suck at them and I don't like how they all pretty much feel like the same game. I'll probably make a whole rant eventually about the reloading feature in all of them.

I would say my favorite genre is RPG's. I love worldbuilding, character growth and development, and having to seriously think about what I'm doing. Other genres I really enjoy are Action RPG's, Visual Novels, and Platformers.

I've been a Nintendo boy at heart since my early childhood. I'm disappointed with a lot of decisions that have been made by the company over the years, but their core IPs hold a special place in my heart. I have started branching out more over the years, and I'll be looking to keep doing so in the future as I finally have a functioning Windows laptop.

Gaming history/future

I think the next post I'll make will be a list of all the games I've played so far, at least within recent enough memory that I remember what they felt like to play. I'll be looking to keep updating that list as the months and years go by.

My current project as of making this blog is Kingdom Hearts! I finally am able to play these games, something I've been desperately wanting to for years now. I don't know how 3 will end up looking like on my laptop, but that's a worry for later.

I'm looking to utilize this summer well for games. Some other titles I'm looking at are the Witcher games, of which I only played one a bit before, and perhaps a select few Final Fantasy titles, a franchise I have never touched before.

Purpose of this blog

I think it's neat to have a space to document all my gaming misadventures. Those who know me know that some crazy stuff always seems to happen when I play games. From statistical anomalies to glitches or just some classic old bulls***. I'll be here raging at it all, to an audience of maybe only you, whoever you are.

I've discovered recently that I like writing. I just only like writing about things I've experienced or things I'm really interested in. My autistic level of knowledge on game franchises such as Pokemon, for example, can end up shining through in Shakespearean monologues that could reach the heavens. Meanwhile I can't formulate more than 3 sentences on games that bore me.

I'm not sure of the frequency of my replies here, but they will come when they come. Meanwhile I do welcome anyone to drop their thoughts about things I've said or games I've given disgusting ratings or feedback.
