Elara, you explained it a little better then me, I knew they weren't exactly dorms. I just forgot to mention what you said but thanks.

xfighter: Food is good, pretty much normal stuff. They have snack machines and what not too. I'm sure though that every school offers different types of food and what not but it will be reasonably good. Nothing like a home cooked meal though, that's for sure.

It all lies with what your planning on doing in school, how determined you are, where your going to live at(not necessarily on-campus or off just the general area), and so much more.

That's VERY true! Distractions seem to magnify like crazy while at college. Time management becomes essential and I think that can really make or break a student.

Wow, are you going to accept Phi Kappa Phi's invitation? They're a pretty prestigious group, aren't they? The UC Davis chapter has a bunch of plaques and stuff hanging on the walls in our main library. I'm a member of Chi Epsilon, a civil engineering honors society. Fun stuff

1. Is it a lot of hard work for you or does it come to you naturally, and do you enjoy it?

2. Also, do you find that the majority of your time is spent doing school related things, or
do you have lots of free time to do what you want?

3. Well, I noticed you have more than 30 posts per day, which is awesome, so do you go on
vizzed on the computers at school, or is it sort of strict and you can only do the assigned
work, if any?

4. For your degree, do you do a lot of hands on work, or is it a lot more being taught
things by your professor?

1. You will enjoy it because your going to college for you, to better yourself, you might not enjoy it all the time, and everything might not come naturally but they offer plenty of resources to help you pass.

2. I still have a good amount of free time, it really depends on what you want to goto school for. If you want to be a surgeon obviously your going to have more work and things to study.

3. I really don't go on at school, I could but I choose not too just because I'm there for school. My school has wifi so you can sit right in class with a laptop and use for ebooks and such. I just feel like your paying all this money to goto school, you might as well stay focused and give it your all.

4. Well your going to do both, hands on work, be lectured by a professor, and both at the same time. Also depends on what your major is, what minor classes your taking and such. But say if your going to school for computers, a lot of the work is going to be done on a computer because a book's going to teach you but without the computer expierence how are you going to learn the material. You need both hands on and lectures to learn.

Well every school is going to vary with the time your in class. Typically my classes are an hour and fifteen minutes but last semester I had a math class that was three hours long. And to answer your second question, I know your first four semesters are like this, freshman-1st semester, sophomore-2nd semester, junior-3rd semester, and senior-4th semester. Basically is the same to measure years, this is used for a community college so say if you graduated after two years then transferred to a four year college, you'd be entering as a junior because of it being your 3rd year.

My english classes seem to be the hardest, I have to write 500 word essays this semester and next semester 800 word essays. It's not so much that part that erks me but all my english teachers so far have been sticklers...

Though for you, things might be different, all depends on what you go for and what kind of classes you have to take.

I believe college is as hard as you make it. I say that because if you keep up with your studying, show-up to class, ask questions for help, and use all the many resources given to you by the college then your college career will be easier for you.

I also believe it may depend on what you want to go for. Different subjects maybe harder then others. If you have any ideas of classes you want to take or questions about classes such as this one, then I would ask your student advisor at the college you desire to go to.

EDIT: Didn't see your second question there, lol. I applied for financial aid and got a mix of both. I can't really give you a clear answer as to how this will work for you but when you file for it, you will see what's available to you, to help with the costs for college.

Alucard- Well generally my classes at my college are each an hour and fifteen mintutes, however this might vary between different colleges. I'm sure though won't be much longer or shorter from college to college. To answer your second question, I had about two to three weeks in between semesters through the winter into the spring semester. And as for the summer, it's pretty typical, I get out next week until August 21st. If you go during the summer this might change for you obviously.

dragoon- Well there's certain things they take into perspective when processing your financial aid application. They will give you a state and federal grant when processing this along with loans, scholarships, and such, so as you meet the requirements for them. Don't feel overwhelmed by this because most likely, you will receive some type of aid to support you through college.

I know this is a double post but instead of creating another thread when it's related to this, I'll just double post

Anyways, this is the last week of school till next year, took my finals this week. Feel good about them, now it's just time to wait till I get the results. The finals were pretty easy, at least that's how they seemed, lol. This is also part of the reason I haven't been on Vizzed as much this past week, been pretty busy between that and work so I just wanted to let people know what was up with me...
