Been awhile since I made some threads so I figured I'd make one to see what some people wanna do with there futures, maybe who they are now, and where they wanna be.

I'm a college student at LCCC in PA. I was going for music/sound production but had a change of heart. My love for gaming really took ahold of me which made me change my major to Game Design & Interactive Media Design. I really just want to work for a gaming company that's successful and has a bright future. The money isn't the big picture for me, money is good but as long as I'm finiacially stable then I'm happy with that. I just want to have a career that makes me happy doing it from day to day. Gaming has always been a part of me and my lifestyle. Music has too but realistically, what I wanted to do with music might not happen. Besides I still can learn the things I wanted to learn, without going to college with it. I just felt that game design and the technology involved with it, is a growing field and offers more oppurtunities for advancement, and stability.

You kinda sound me a bit. Originally I wanted to be a photographer but then got into web development because you can do so much more with it. Same goes for you, with music you can just make music... but if you know how to make a game then you got even more skills And could have your own music in your games.

Music industry is fine and all but now and days the net can either make or break your career, lots of people distributing and downloading stuff before it hits shelves. Atleast with games there is some better protection and won't get stolen as fast or as much until it becomes old and made into a iso.

You made a good choice I think the gaming industry is always growing and in demand all the time

When I was younger, I always anted to be an astronaut or a video game developer. My parents and my teacher too said that I would be a great teacher or docter. But the thought of going back to school when I am older is just a weird job. After getting into music, I wanted to become a musician. I picture myself to directing an orchestra performing the Legend Of Zelda theme song.

But now, I wanted to go to the marines to do alot of great stuuf. I though of becomg an air pilot in there, but it takes alot of dedication to commit.

Then I wonder, what if I become a video designer. I have a great creative mind. I also imagine of being my favorites heroes and puting them in videos like Goku, Sonic, and alot of video game characters to a series, but I am not a drawer or skillful at drawing.

Them my attention turned to Wrestling, and I mean the WWE because it would be great fighting and then becoming the best.

Well, I dont know what to do. I don't even know what college I am going to. I still have a big, bright future awaiting for me. I am too young to do these stuff, but I'm not young to believe.

I'm 18 and graduating High School this June. I have a 3.75 GPA throughout high school, I've taken all the sciences, maths, and a language.

I'm pretty confident that I could get admitted to a good university, but I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I don't know what career, or even what field. I don't really like doing anything, I'm not great at anything, but I'm okay at everything. I just wish I could magically know what I should do and follow that plan.

Also, maybe this should be in the post about yourself forum? Idk, maybe not.

What I'd say BTowns is to do your research, put together some ideas of things you like to do, things you find interesting and do your homework on these things. I also put it in here because it's not about me, and it's just a chat to find out what people want to do with there future. I also posted one in the Your Forum on ask JusTReaL anything about college which stemmed from this.

Wright now i'm going to collage for chemical engineering. my brother is a chemical engineer and he got me into it. it seems like a good career to get into my brother likes it so i'll probably like it. because he likes the same things i like i dont really care about making alot of money even though the money is good in that field.

Well even though thats true we shouldnt worry about that now we are all still young so let not think about it okay moveing on.

Well I've always been one who can do almost anything. Just not the best but not the worst you know average. But I'm majoring in Culinary arts and plan on going to college in the Fall. Also gonna do some business and management classes on the side. And if I get a change of heart any time I either plan on majoring in Psychology or Law, two things I've always been good at for some reason[lets just say I got some messed up friends who have gone to jail and I've gotten them out of some binds with cop >>]

Right now I'm just looking for a job, but I plan on going to some sort of school next fall after I get my own car and all that. What I'm going to school for I have no idea right now. I've always been a logical, analytical person who loves puzzles so I was thinking maybe Forensics. That or a video game related career. I've always wanted to make video games and I've started to dabble in coding recently. Not to mention I'm addicted to the RPG maker program that I recently downloaded. I've basically spent all my freetime on the computer for the past few days...I have a lot of free time too lol

Well right now, I'm not quite sure. I've wanted to do so many things, but i'm not very good at any of them. I want to have so many things, but I dont know how to get them. so for now, I'm just going a day at a time, the only thing on my mind futurewise is trying to keep my current job so I can save up to get my own place. But after that, I really don't know.

well im finishing up a new album with my band, and planning our next tour too. Should all be released and on the road by July just hope i get it done.
