hey i need a 2nd opinion my parents female poodle heard fireworks and i was alone, so i watch the poodles body language her tail was tucked low she was shaking when she heard the fireworks was it ok for me to give her a hug while petting her and saying there nothing to worry about it will be ok?

Dogs are unable to comprehend the concept of fireworks. Consistent loud noises and flashing lights will make a lot of dogs restless, sounds like the poodle had a similar reaction.

Positive reinforcement like pets and just being right beside her will probably be the best things you can do. Maybe get her away from windows etc so she's as far removed as possible.

Don't expect to make her overcome her fear of something like fireworks, but you're doing a good job trying to give her some level of comfort.
