When I try to use mednafen the esc config does not work ( I got a different thread open for that problem). But the full screen works, I can't play mednafen as some buttons don't work. I can use esc config on ZSNES and config buttons, but when I try to go full screen it said directdraw error. I figure if mednafen can go full screen so should ZSNES since they look the same. I have Windows 11. I think I play on chrome that switches to firefox when I open med or zsnes. Let me know if this problem is solvable.

I couldn't get the esc way to work but double clicking the game area still allowed me to edit my controls. It even worked for my controller so I would suggest trying that way. As for the resolution. I tried changing those and was getting the same errors on the highest resolution but on the ones below it wouldn't actually resize the window to the proper one so I couldn't see half the screen so I wouldn't recommend changing..

Also switching to firefox is normal. It is using a portable version that is compatible with the plugin.
