Gravity Antonion was a reploid, cyborgs with human traits such as emotion and morality, that first appeared in Mega Man X8. He later became a maverick, reploids that pose a danger to the world. He was once a respected scientists but died a disgrace. So lets learn about why he went from respected to a disgrace.

Antonion like most of the X8 reploids had copy chips built inside of them. The chips allowed them to temporarily copy another reploid's body for protection. In addition, it was also to prevent them from going maverick. However, the copy chips also contained Sigma's DNA. This would lead to a disaster.

Antonion was a highly respected space and gravity scientists. He was put in charge of a space/gravity lab. He won several awards for his research in space and gravity. His job was also important because humans and reploids had been building a connection from Earth to the Moon called the Jacobs Project. Gravity's knowledge and work made him in high demand for the project. He was a highly regarded and respected expert in his field. All seem to be going well except when the events of X8 unfolded.

First Lumine, who is really Sigma, staged an accident on the ladder project. Then maverick riots started among the new copy chip reploids. Gravity started a riot in the space lab and became a maverick. He was no using his scientific knowledge as a weapon. He started giving what he knew to Sigma/Lumine. The Three Maverick Hunters where puzzled why would Gravity do this. When encountered by the hunters he states that the world had become destructive and that space would be a new world born under the watch of Sigma. Lumine later stated that the new reploids could go maverick at will. He became very violent and challenged the three hunters to a duel which he looses and is destroyed. Due to becoming a violent maverick and using his space weapons while doing so. The once respected scientists now died a disgrace.

Appearance- As his name implies Gravity Antionion is based off of an Ant. He is one of the smaller mavericks in the game. He appears to have red/pinkish armor. He also looks like a typical ant as he has antenna and has an abdomen. It is also shown he has purple stripes throughout his body.

Personality- Before he was a maverick he was very calm and a dedicated scientists. He took pride in his space research. In fact, he became the leading expert in his field. However, after becoming a maverick his personality changed. He became violent stating that anybody who got in his and Sigma's way would be wiped out. He also stated he did not care what happened to the Earth because it had become rotten to the core. He stated that he would help Sigma usher in a new world. He also seemed to question things. As he also stated have you not considered that this world is rotten and not good. Have you considered that a new world might be needed. Despite being a maverick he was still able to reason even though his reasoning was warped.

Abilities- Antonion has the ability to change gravity as he has gravity devices that allow him to do so. Being an ant he can crawl the walls with ease. In addition, he can lift very heavy objects that are several times his weight. His greatest asset though is his intelligence.

Attacks- His main attacks is reversing gravity to cause confusion among his opponents. However, he likes to create and throw blocks at his opponents. He will even try to smash his opponents with a birage of heavy blocks. Due to his small size he is also hard to hit and can move at a decent clip.

Weakness- He is weak to the Shadow Weapon. The Shadow weapon messes up his gravity. It also slices him stopping his attacks. Also while he is creating his huge blocks he can be hit with a well timed saber attack.

Gravity Antionin was once a valued reploid due to his gravity and space research. As I stated he won several awards for his work. However, when the events of X8 started he decided to become a maverick. He became aggressive, and violent. However, he was still able to reason even if it was for the wrong reasons. One could argue he became more militant as he believed that anybody that got in his way should be eliminated. Despite his intelligence he could not see that what Sigma was doing was wrong. He also could not see that he could have stopped his following of Sigma at will. This is implied when he one of hunters ask him to stop. He states that he could but that Sigma was right about the Earth being decayed. Therefore, his failure to see and listen lead to his demise. He was destroyed by the three hunters.

In conclusion, he went from respected to a disgrace. He is not considered a victim like some of the other reploids in past games. The main reason is because he could have stopped at any time, but chose not too. He followed Sigma at his own desire, so he was not directly infected by him like some of the others. Therefore, he died a dishonorable death. This concludes the biography.
