Burn rooster is a reploid, cyborgs with human characteristics, that first and so far has only appeared in Mega Man X8. During the events of Mega Man X8 he became a maverick, which are reploids that pose a danger to the world. Indeed, he later goes insane and poses a danger, so lets learn about him.


After the events of Mega Man X7 reploids with copy abilities where developed. Axle, who appeared in X7 and now is a Maverick Hunter, was a prototype. These new reploids can temporary copy other armors. The new type of reploids were thought to have advanced circuits to prevent them from going insane or turning maverick. Burn Rooster is a reploid that has the copy abilities, but it is unknown who created him.

Regardless he was created to be a waste disposal manager. He was over a recycle and waste disposable plant. The plant used nearby heat from an active volcano to dispose of the waste. Burn Rooster was made to tolerate the highest known temperature. He was effective at managing the plant at first. One of his jobs was to dispose of dead mavericks bodies. Sometimes mavericks were given a proper burial while other times they were sent to be disposed of.

During the events of Mega Man X8 Rooster along with 7 other reploids started a riot at their respective bases. It was revealed that the copy chips also contained data from Sigma. Even though it was believed the new reploids could not become maverick. The new chips had Sigma's programming allowing his virus to live on. Also Lumine, who is really Sigma, ordered the 8 reploids to start a maverick uprising.

Rooster starts a riot as the waste disposal plant and used the active volcano for his own amusement. It is heavily implied he was perhaps going to trigger a massive volcano eruption. X, Zero, and Axle storm the waste disposal plant, which by this time Rooster had turned into a base as well as a hide out.

When they ask Rooster why he is doing this. He states that he is going to avenge the dead mavericks that where retired for being Maverick. He states he hears their voices calling for revenge. In addition, he states how he is going to create a new world only for Mavericks, and the heat he mines will contribute to the new world and that X, Zero, and Axle will be extinct. He challenges the 3 maverick hunters to a fight to death the death, but he quickly looses. However, he sabotaged the plant that after he dies it will be flooded with lava. The three hunters quickly made their way out of the plant and out of the volcano to escape to safety. Rooster was destroyed for good.

Appearance- As his name implies he is based off of a rooster. He has a yellow/orange beak. He appears to be quite tall and has orange wings. HIs armor colors are mainly orange, red, yellow, and purple. Furthermore, he has flames coming out of his body.

Personality- Before he went insane he was a serious reploid who took responsibility for managing the plant. He was very good at his job. However, he became board at being stuck at the plant.

When he went maverick he went insane. His became very angry, full of revenge, and seemed to have lost his mind. He states that he heard voices from dead mavericks telling him to avenge them. He also stated that the riot was needed to seek revenge and that it was part of the Earth's destruction. He also states that Sigma is right this world is decayed and needs to be wiped out. While he is a maverick he seems to know that what he is doing wrong by stating that violence is needed to destroy the world. He then states that he cannot be a maverick indicating he is aware of his actions unlike past mavericks.

He is so full of anger and revenge that he even sabotages his base in case he died it would flood it with lavea. Basically, he tries to get the last hit end even after he perishes. Overall, he is a very violent character who believes that destruction is justified.

Abilities- His armor is very well built. It is so well built that he can withstand the hottest temperature known. He can also control lava and can also create fire. He can also control fire. In this sense he is similar to another avian maverick such as Blaze Heatnix. He can also fly and hoover for a bit. In addition to combat, he is very effective at using machinery. When he charges his fire he becomes very fast.

Attacks- His main attack is to create powerful fireballs that can burn anything that it touches. His fireballs have a large burn radius. He can also cause the walls and floors to burn. Another powerful attack is turning into a fireball and dashing into the player. Moreover, he can charge some of his attacks such as creating a powerful fire wave that burns anything it touches as well as surrounding things.

Weaknesses- He is weak to ice weapons. The ice freezes him in his place. Also he does not like the extreme cold. Not only does ice freeze him but it puts out his fire temporarily. The ice also slows him down. Another weakness is even though he is fast he likes to fight from the air. He can be dashed under and hit from behind.

Overall, Burn Rooster is a reploid that was created for good things and was thought to be not able to go maverick. However, when it is revealed that the new reploids have Sigma's programming things go wrong. Near the end of X8 Lumine, who again is Sigma, states that the new reploids can go maverick at will. Although sigma/Lumine ordered Rooster to start a riot. Given how he seemed eager to do it, and wanted to do it to avenge past mavericks. Implies that he went maverick at will. He was once a good manager, but after going insane becomes very violent. He wanted to destroy the world and create a new world. Basically, he is pure evil. He foolishly challenged X, Zero, and Axle to a fight and quickly lost leading to his death. Depending on the point of the game the hunters tell him he can stop his actions and they would call it a day. He refused sealing his fate. This concludes the Burn Rooster Biography.
