Any new competitive games you've been following lately?

pokemon x : There were highs and lows. It was cool to see the Colosseum, Pompeii, etc., but there were definitely some things about Italy that I wasn't a fan of. Kenzie and I both agreed that we liked Japan a lot better.

We only brought back three souvenirs: a hand-made magnet from Burano, Italian Pokemon cards, and a penis-shaped bottle of Limoncello lol.

Furret : I read a story about a guy that requested a super elaborated final meal consisting of lots of different types of food in large quantities, but when they brought it to him, he refused to eat it, saying something to the effect of "actually, I don't have much of an appetite." I don't know if this story is true or not, but I would definitely do something like this. I'm about to die anyway; might as well go out with one final act of defiance towards the people that are about to kill me.

SonicOlmstead : Not really, mostly just Melee. Hungrybox has been hosting a biweekly Smash tournament (Melee and Ultimate) in Orlando that I've been going to every other week. I have gone 0-2 every time so far lmao. But it's cool to hang out with people, and they have the live stream of the tourney playing on a giant screen behind the bar at the venue, so it's fun to have some drinks at the bar and watch the rest of the tourney with the other 0-2ers.

Why has no one asked you any questions in a while? Kind of lame of them.

I recently made a friend who is really big into playing Smash Melee and doing regional tournaments. I see in your response to Sonic that you do go to local smash tournaments and get beat pretty handily. Have you made any progress since then? Maybe played some new characters that you are better at? (Maybe ice climbers ahaha)

when did you last play Minecraft, and what did you do? Also would you consider yourself good a pvp

Barathemos : Yup, I still go every other week. No, I have not made any progress lol. I still have not won a single set, though I have had a couple of close ones. I don't really practice at all, so I'm not really expecting to improve.

That said, I've been entering doubles with another player that is equally bad, and we did win a set together a few weeks ago. It was pretty hype.

Dauntez : It's been over 10 years since I last played Minecraft. I don't even know what PvP would mean in a Minecraft context lol.

Do you still go to Disney World all the time?

Barathemos : Yeah, Kenzie and I go a few times a month. We rarely ever do full days, though. We usually go for a few hours, ride 2 or 3 rides, then go home.

What park/rides do you ride the most or do you switch it up a lot?

I have been meaning to go to Carowinds since I moved up here, but it has been so hot I didn't want to spend a full day outside and now they're only open on the weekends.

Barathemos : Our go-to park is EPCOT. We usually ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, take a lap around the World Showcase, ride Cosmic Rewind again, then go home lol. We switch it up sometimes, though. Weather is a big part of it. If it's too hot or if it starts raining, we usually leave early, but if it's nice out we'll stay longer.

There are a few rides in each park that we usually ride every time we're there. At Magic Kingdom, we always ride Space Mountain. At Hollywood Studios, we always ride Toy Story Mania. At Animal Kingdom, we always ride Flight of Passage (and we used to always ride Dinosaur, RIP). Everything beyond that depends on weather, wait times, and how we're feeling that day.

I didn't realize you moved to the Carolinas. I've been to Carowinds once before, it's pretty cool. I was in charge of a bunch of 12-year-olds when I was there, though, so I don't think I had the most representative experience lol.

How many posts are you going to make on the spree day?

I bet I'd have a bit better of a time at the park since I won't be in charge of a bunch of 12 year olds (I hope). I think my days of babysitting children is over (although some of my students sure do act like children).

Have you ever been on Soarin? I think that is what its called. It was okay, but I had to wait over two hours for it. Which is absurd. I think it was in Epcot.

Barathemos : Yeah, I've been on Soarin plenty of times. It's on it's 3rd iteration now, I believe. Originally it was Soarin Over California, then Soarin Around the World, and now it's Soarin Across America (as of May of this year).

It was incredibly popular when it first came out in 2005, since it used technology that was cutting edge for the time, but it hasn't aged well in my opinion. There are other rides that use similar technology in a more exciting and immersive way (such as Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom). It usually doesn't have a line longer than 20-30 minutes nowadays. We usually skip it when we're at EPCOT.
