ok anyone who has seen this thread https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=10451 knows that my router has been giving me trouble, but what i didn't say here is that it keeps on losing connection all together (both wireless and wired) so i flashed the updated fw to it and that helped at first, but now it wont come back up at all, i have looked into it and it seems like a lot of people are having problems like this with this series of linksys wireless routers (WRT series mine is WRT120N) i got the router cus it was cheap and i thought linksys was reliable, but now the only way of getting online is this computer thru my modem. I will try and get a new router next month (gunna try belkin this time and also try not being cheap) and as soon as i get it all taken care of ill be back on more. sorry guys. P.S. just so everyone knows i downloaded the fw twice and flashed it like 5 times and no improvement.

I'm sorry about your router's problems...
I hope that you will find a better one, which wouldn't be too expensive but it works well.
Take care

I don't recommend flashing the router bios that much at once.

What you should do though is on the router there's a small hole that you can push a small pin or paperclip into.
If you do there's a button in there that resets the router to factory settings if you hold it in for 10 seconds while the router is on.
I would do that after flashing the bios just in case there are some settings that are not compatible with the new bios.
Then I would set the settings back up and see how you go.

But it sounds like that would only be a temporary solution in any case.
Personally I would try a DLink if you are replacing your router, I havn't had much in the way with problems with them.
