I agree with what Barathemos said. If anything, make it optional. Two factor authentication is a massive pain in the butt, and I don't feel the need to go through that process for something as trivial and a message board account. It's not like Vizzed accounts have credit card or bank information associated with them.

I understand some people's security concerns. But as others have pointed out its probably not needed on this site. I do not know anybody that has tried to login to other users. Maybe some of the administrators could weight in.

Now in the past a few have hacked this site, but it was just this site not personal log ins.

I would be okay with it being optional for those that are concern. But as Barathemos and Tgags pointed out it would be a pain. I could see it pulling the system down.

One of my relatives has a two step code to login to their social media accounts. Let me tell you its a pain because this relative has to put in their password then wait for for a text message with a code they have to enter within 30 seconds. Its frustrating and its annoying.

Barathemos : I mean, there was a recentish thing where a staff member's account was hacked, so there's that. If two-factor authentication existed, that would never have happened. That is if it was required for Site staff+.

In a way Admins unsure on Globals already have a form of 2 factor authorization. If they don't connect via a whitelisted IP, they can't access their account.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
