Happy Tour de Vizzed everyone!!! Now considering the order of the PC Games list you would have thought that I would have been doing You Don’t Know Jack Volume 2….well that will not be the case as I found another Magic School Bus game between tours and I am going to do that one first (yeah I still don’t know what I will do for Sundays….or do I…..I think I should make a few more trips to the arcade this summer.. eh whatever I can always do reviews for the other coin-op games on the site since I found myself going down that rabbit hole last summer, though some reviews are going to be pre-typed because the downside to things slowly returning to normal is that all those festivals that were held off because of COVID are back up and running, plus today is Canada Day, and my cousins wedding is next Saturday
Gameplay and story: So once again we find ourselves in Mrs.Frizzle’s classroom where it seems like for once the kids are going on a NORMAL field trip *stifles laughter briefly before it explodes into a fit of the giggles* that will never happen, even by the time you finally shed the Friz, you’ll be questioning your teachers like crazy. But yeah like I’m trying to say Friz gets a call from a friend of hers that runs the wild animal park and apparently some animals that were scheduled to return to the wild were sent to the wrong habitats. So guess what we have to do, also since Janice wasn’t in the episode or the book she doesn’t show up here Graphics: We still have a crappy CGI bus (but then again it was the 90s when this was made and like the previous game we get individual reports from the students in the classroom) and we get some actual footage in the reports. Everything else is 2D animated Soundtrack: Each region in the game has it’s own background music; drums in the desert, Zydeco music in the swamp, the possibilities are endless...wait a minute do the Jeopardy people know that Tim hummed the think music when asking a question in the African Savanna?, oh I’m sure they didn’t mind considering that Alex Trebek himself actually did guest star on an episode of the original cartoon, the one that involved the long word that started with O (no not Onomatopoeia) even better Liz doesn't do the talking this time but then again Friz ain't lost in space Addictive: Well I have not played it enough times to consider it addictive however the fact that I own TWO Magic School Bus games means this now qualifies for getting a marathon sometime in the near future (maybe next year when the show celebrates it's 30th anniversary and...wait one google later rats it started airing in 1994 oh well more time for me to collect more of the games. Though I didn't consider the show addictive like I may have said previously I spent more time with the Muppets, the Big ass Dinosaur and Carmen Sandiego Depth: So this game actually offers a little bit more than what Solar System has like for example this time you can enter your name and it will save for you also they expect you to make an avatar for the Drivers License (yeah apparently we are driving the bus, I don't really think the avatars are necessary though). They expect you to find 4 animals in seven habitats And There’s multiple minigames one involving where you ID’ footprints and ahem animal droppings A game called Scat soundtrack (sound and track are two different words in this case) where you identify the sound an animal makes or their footprints or yes their poop. There is also a game where you put some bones together. And you can even do some art in the game, I haven't really tried it maybe when I do a gameplay video I will but until then I'm going to leave that alone Difficulty: This game is relatively easier than Solar System probably because we aren’t dealing with long outdated facts about the solar system but with getting animals back to their natural habitats, and depending on how good you are the the game will depend how quickly you can get through this (there was a certain bird I had a difficult time finding) Post review follow-up: Like I said previously this is more fun to play than Solar System (but the second time I had to play this in order to do this review I couldn’t tell that they were looking for the toucan...yeah this required a replay in order to do a proper review) and I had to pre-write the review because the downside to the pandemic problems going down in Manitoba means I’ll busy again, and I’ve been so used to staying home, and today is Canada day I half expect to be busy especially since gaming season started today, plus next week I’ll be super busy, This concludes my review join me tomorrow when I review You Don't Know Jack Volume 2 (I am starting to run out of games to review) Gameplay and story: So once again we find ourselves in Mrs.Frizzle’s classroom where it seems like for once the kids are going on a NORMAL field trip *stifles laughter briefly before it explodes into a fit of the giggles* that will never happen, even by the time you finally shed the Friz, you’ll be questioning your teachers like crazy.
