So I was playing hot wheels turbo racing and got me curious on how the logo used to look like back then so I googled it and saw the many changes it went through until I saw the current one and honestly… I’m not a fan of it.

As it seems many companies have been changing their logos to be more… simplified like Uber or Pepsi, even crocs. Sure some look nice simplified while others just look makes you wonder why?

It’s not even brands I’ve seen some changes within sports too (mostly soccer) with Juventus changing their logo a few years back to a letter J… Norwich changing their logo to a more simplified blocky looking crest starting in summer 2022. Heck even Mexico’s national team crest has been simplified for the “modern” media.

Maybe they’re right and I’m just so used to the old brand logos but who knows.

What are your thoughts about the simplified logos in particular? Are they moving forward with modern times or just a thought of “why?”

Personally I don't like the idea of simple logos. Yeah it is cheaper to mass produce over time but there is interesting creativity.

I will remember a logo that stands out more than a flat image that is barebones shows what the logo is.

I hate what they recently did to the Discord logo. It just doesn't look right to me still, like they took all the personality out of the little mascot guy. All to have a more generic design I suppose.

There's others examples as well but that's the one that's irritated me the most.
