I like DarkBasic and QuickBasic and RapidQBasic, and DevC++ by Bloodshed. And I like PHP and CSS and Javascript.

What do you all like?

I haven't done too much programming, but recently within the last year and a half it has been one of my main interests.

Right now I'm in C++ Programming (class at school) and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Last year I took VB, and I didn't really like it personally, I dunno C++ just seems more diverse and more like "real programming"

Not that I consider Tag Markup languages to be 100% programming, I'm looking into learning some XML here soon, since HTML was like learning the ABC's to me.

I don't really quite know php now, but having my own board I have spent a handful of hours looking into it, modifying some things here and there, and knowing C++ seems to have increased my knowledge and understanding of it. I hope to "really" learn some PHP though soon.

php is fun and a lot like C++ crossed with javascript or CGI or something.

I made some simple stuff of my very own in PHP; a counter, a shoutbox, other cool things. =) I love it.

Anyone know of any good toturial sites for learning maybe php and Java or something?

w3schools.org (I think that's it) seems to be pretty good, it just seems to be on a very slow server at times.

You just listed some high-quality languages, and one high-quality IDE.

I haven't heard much talk about DB or Rapid-Q in a long time... DB most people just don't know about, and time simply forgot Rapid-Q. Most people think QuickBasic is outdated (which is sort of true, sadly), and as for DevC++... Well, everyone agrees, that's a great dev. environment.

PHP, CSS, XHTML, and JS are all you need for a kick-ass webpage. (Maybe some flashy images, too.)

I am a VB programmer. I am planning to create a 3D game creation program that is almost like RMXP, but online and network options.
