Let's make up a hypothetical situation.
You're watching TV or videos about your favorite game on [Insert Your Favorite Social Media Here], and you get an advertisement.

I know I know, it sucks. Boo me off the stage later.
But sometimes the ads are really good, and other times the ads are horrendously bad.

Often video game advertisements are very interesting, either taking a 'weird the viewer out' approach or a 'show the highlights first and only drop the title at the end' approach.

All this nonsense aside, what video game advertisement is your favorite? It can be a series of ones for a particular game, or even ones for consoles (old or new, doesn't matter).

I think this easily goes to Smash Ultimate for me and for a specific trailer I would probably say Joker's reveal even though at the time he was announced it meant nothing to me but looking back on the trailer after playing Persona 5 and it becoming my favorite game of all time I would of lost my mind watching that reveal if I had already played Persona 5 I honestly can't imagine how hyped I would of been. You know after typing this all out I realize you might of meant like a tv ad and I can't really think of a tv ad that sticks out to me promoting a game.

I don't remember what game it was for, but it was Nintendo's Super Bowl commercial for the Switch back in 2017, which used Imagine Dragon's Believer the day after the song was released. I don't necessarily like it for the game stuff, but that Switch commercial ended up being what got me into Imagine Dragons in the first place so that one commercial always has a special place in my heart.

AweshumeT : For me my response would have to be a nintendo ad, when the switch reveal trailer first came out I lost my mind, and looking back at all the hype surrounding the switch, and the reactions, and the painstaking months and years waiting for it to be announced really brings back good memories. Another favorite of mine is the boreath of the wild reveal trailer, the one from I think it was 2016 where they showed the game off in a finalized state for the first time with the amazing trailer music, that music was FIRE and was not even part of the game, just the trailer. Still an amazing experience seeing that for the first time with Etika and the rest of the nintendo community at the time, what a blast.
