It didn't take me absolutely forever to update the story this time. Hooray! Also hooray for the "Will somebody write that down?" gag that I keep laughing at more than I should!

Chapter 18

The next day, Greeny’s team prepared for another meeting that would take place at 9 AM on the cloudy day.

“Excellent job yesterday, guys,” Violet complimented Silver and Bronze while Greeny wasn’t in the office.
Once Greeny joined them in the office, he began, “Alright, we got the painting done yesterday! BUT NOW WE HAVE MUCH MORE WORK TO DO! WE GOTTA TRICK PAC-MAN INTO COMING ALL THE WAY TO BOOMING CITY! ANY IDEAS?”

“Not at the moment,” Bronze answered.

“WHAT?? GET IT TOGETHER!” Greeny responded, enraged.
That’s it. I’m testing him again, Violet thought.

“I’m sorry,” Bronze sighed. “We need to advertise this somehow.”
“Do you have any ideas, Greeny?” Violet asked.

“Well, uh, OF COURSE I do!” Greeny snapped. “We could make a flier and stick it on Pac-Man’s door.”

“But how? How would we do that?” Violet asked, still remaining calm.

“We could do it at night when basically everyone is asleep!” Greeny suggested.

“Good idea,” Silver smiled.

“Will somebody write that down?” Violet asked.
Once Blinky’s team arrived ten minutes later, all eight ghosts met in the office. No one brought anything for the meeting except notebook paper and pens that Clyde carried in. As usual, Blinky’s team gathered on the left side and Greeny’s team on the right.

“Good morning everyone!” Blinky greeted the others. “We did a fantastic job painting that hallway yesterday despite our tiredness. You should all be proud!”
I am, Greeny thought, smiling.

“That was the best time of my life!” Silver told them.

“Oh nice I’m glad!” Blinky replied. “So now that the empty
maze has been set up we need to set the room up that we use for it eventually. We shouldn’t put the cherries in there until we know Pac-Man is coming so they don’t go bad.”

“And there’s still a door that leads to the empty maze. We need to take that door out or Pac-Man will get suspicious,” Pinky added.

“Alright,” Greeny shouted.

“Is anybody here an expert at door disassembling?” Blinky asked. Everyone laughed.

“We built this house ourselves,” Bronze pointed out. “I’m sure at least one of us can do it.”

“You’re right!” Violet exclaimed. “Wasn’t it you who added this door, Greeny?”

“Yep,” Greeny smiled. “I remember it so well.”

“Where do we get supplies though?” Pinky wondered.

“There’s a huge DIY store in Booming City that’s conveniently pretty close to our maze building!” Greeny realized while speaking.

“We don’t still have the supplies we used for our house?” Bronze asked Greeny.

“No. I got ‘em at a garage sale, so they didn’t last long,” Greeny sighed.

“I think that’s all, right?” Inky asked Blinky.

“Yeah I’m ready to go!” Blinky smiled wide.
