What do you think of the OLED Switch? It's not quite what everybody was hoping for since most people wanted 4K capabilities and better battery life, but at least we get something.

Personally the only thing that I really care about is the bigger handheld display, which is pretty cool and when you're playing in handheld mode, the speakers will be a bit better. But other than that, I don't really care too much about the other stuff. Plus, I'd expect the bigger display to drain power faster wouldn't it?

I'm still stuck on the v1 and the fan is messed up so I'll probably upgrade to this anyway. What about you?

I was one of those who was holding off on buying a Switch because a new model with better battery life was expected. I guess that such thing is quite far now, so I'll have to do with the regular one if I can't wait or get this one and be up to date with the latest model.

I honestly don't think it would do so as that would go against one of the Switch's major points, though maybe that rumored better battery life is indeed true but the higher consumption of the new display puts it on equal terms with the old models. That'd be nice to investigate.

As someone who's owned my switch since 2018 and has someone who can never afford new consoles seeing how the new model of the switch seems to be was a sigh of relief for me where it doesn't look like all of sudden new games will be coming out I can't run or anything so from my perspective doing pretty good. I can get why people are upset but I rather the switch stay at it's current power when it comes to what it can run then get a huge cost upgrade for new games cause then you also have to worry about things like if they put games on both versions will my switch be able to run it at a level I feel happy with so I rather games just continue to be made for how it currently is.

As someone that basically never travels anywhere for medical reasons and doesn't have any sort of nostalgia towards nintendo at all its pretty laughable.

I mean obviously i'm in the the small minority i know.. but due to those two reasons i have no reason to buy a switch,

I mean it's not like it's that cheap either...

Honestly i kinda see this like the ps4 pro.. you didn't need to buy one to play ps4 games.. but it just worked a bit better.

Allysa8th : Technically you also get a Manaphy egg from any store. I like that a lot more than what SWSH did, which I think was just a few poke balls. Target does the journal for the double pack but Gamestop has a pin set for the double pack.
