One of the hottest gaming related items on the market right now is Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, but not the game itself, the Day One Edition.

That version of the game comes with a cow plush and after release day, production of This edition obviously stopped. As a result, this version, or just the plush itself, are very expensive. Fully sealed copies have been selling for $100-120. Sealed plushes have been selling for $50.

It must be very hard to find fully sealed copies for cheap right? Wrong!

The thing about this version is that it was never marketed as a special day one edition. If you bought the game when it came out, you got the plush, but there was no day one listing or anything like that to separate this version of the game from the regular.

So after a couple days, all listings for physical editions made it seem like it was for the game by itself, even though there were still Day One's left, and that's still the case today. Earlier this month, Best Buy was selling the game for $30 so I went to see if they had it in stock but they didn't. I went to a 2nd Best Buy and they had around 6 Day One editions in stock for the $30 price tag.

Lots of locations still have copies left because the game's been out for a while and people stopped looking but also because there's no indication that it's a Day One Edition.

Right now it's $40 at Best Buy but if you want a $100-120 copy, you should check to see if they have any in stock.

Really? I actually got a link to the website and got the day one edition for like $60 included with the plush and everything. So I don't know where you're looking but I was straight up linked to their website and was able to go through amazon and get the game for a normal price for the special edition. Maybe I'm just lucky?

deggle : If you got it for $60 then they ripped you off. It launched at $50 and then dropped to $40 after like a month.
