The remakes are finally coming this year!

The art style is kind of a bit weird and makes me think of a cross between the original D/P with the Link's Awakening remake.

But with it now being developed by GameFreak, I can't exactly tell how I feel about that yet. The most recent remake that wasn't developed by GameFreak was Mystery Dungeon and that wasn't as great as I would have hoped for.

Thoughts?

zanderlex : i find it kind of wierd to i am dissapointed that the pokemon follow you feture won't return, but other then that ILCA, Inc. did a pretty good job.

I've been following it so much, and honestly looking at all the "update screenshots" and what not is kind of killing me. Especially with how they are like haha we fixed this render by just making it smoother and lighter. and half the time it still looks bad just in a different way.

This remake is definitely just for nostalgic purposes and I think of it more of a remaster than remake. Because like with Allysa said, it's not really giving us a new experience at all. I'm not sure if I will be buying these games or not because I'm still not going to get the full platinum experience so I don't really care about it that much.

The remake really doesn't impress me at all to the point I'm not planning on playing it cause so far it looks like I would have a far better time just playing Platinum again and that really is sad cause I loved Omega Ruby and couldn't wait for gen 4 to get remade and now that I've seen it all I feel is disappointment.
