I saw an announcement today about Google Play Music eventually being transferred to YouTube Music. I always wondered why there were both of these apps around, but I never knew what YouTube Music really was. Now I have to figure out transferring my music to YouTube Music before I lose it.

Hopefully this isn't a major inconvenience for anybody else?

I wish I could say I was sad about this, because for many years I actually used Google Play Music... but then I got a subscription to Spotify, and that has been about a million times better.

I had music on Google Play Music... but I'm probably not going to bother transferring music, because I only use Spotify for music now.

It makes sense since they're both the same company but I think it would make more sense to keep everything under the Google Play banner because buying and streaming would be more streamlined since eveything would be in the same store.

Google Play had music? I've seriously never heard of this until I was looking down the thread list welp I guess that's sad but I have to assume it's shutting down for the reason of no one knew about it, I mean when Spotify exists or you can just use youtube I can't imagine it was that popular.
