Not much happens in this chapter but I hope it's fun to read anyway.
Chapter 4
At 11 PM, Blinky had everyone gather at the table for their big meeting. He felt more excited now that he had made a great connection with Greeny.
Inky started the meeting off with, “So what’s up? What kind of exciting thing are you ready to talk about?”
Blinky smiled wide. “I think it’s time that we get back to work because I’ve been planning something HUGE. Pinky and I were talking last night and we think we should change the way we try to catch Pac-Man. We need to make a plan that’s almost guaranteed not to go wrong.”
“YEAH!” Inky shouted. Clyde jumped and glared at him.
Blinky continued, “We could fool Pac-Man into thinking a new maze has been made for him to try but it’s actually a completely empty pitch black room when he walks in. He won’t even see us coming if he’s distracted and maybe scared for long enough.”
“I love it!” Pinky and Inky exclaimed.
“Why does it have to be pitch black? We have the neon lights in here, but we’d have nothing in there,” Clyde complained.
“You can stay behind me then,” Blinky offered.
“Oh, thanks so much,” Clyde smiled.
“We could add some fruit in there for him to munch!” Pinky suggested.
“Yeah that’ll keep him occupied for long enough,” Blinky grinned.
Inky suggested that they write all this down on a poster board. Blinky volunteered to go to his parents’ house the next day to see if they had a poster board they could use.
“Can we eat these donuts now?” Clyde asked.
“Oh! Yeah. I can’t believe I forgot to mention those,” Blinky laughed.
They split the box of donuts for their nighttime snack. Blinky wanted to make sure they ended their break with a bang, so he had bought the donuts from the arcade and told the others to save them for the meeting.
“You’re such an amazing boss,” Clyde complimented him.
“We’ll do well with this plan and finally catch Pac-Man, giving him what he deserves!” Inky yelled with a confident smile.
Blinky kept a smile on his face the whole time until they finished their meeting. They goofed around and had more fun until the sugar crash set in. The ghosts all went to bed feeling tired but ready for the crazy days that awaited them.
