I save more than once and I will be at level 10. When I go back to play the next time I'll be at level 8 with all my progress not saved. I even saved to separate slots and both are at level 8 not level 10 where i was when I last saved. I also tried using a save state but it doesn't work on any Super Nintendo games so I can only use the in game save.
