Ironically i actually got into this series due to The show 19 being a free PS plus game at some point last year... It's become my chill out game due to the fact that the fifa series is declining so rapidly it's insane.

I do understand most of baseball as it's not really an overly complicated game.. but there are some things i do kinda screw up... because well i never played baseball as a kid.

I know a few users here actually play this game so i was just wondering if you play the diamond dynasty mode and such...

I'm still trying to figure out my opinion on it. It does some things really really well this year that it did not do well last year (the gameplay, especially on offense, just feels more satisfying). But on the other hand, they completely destroyed fielding, especially in the outfield.

I haven't had many issues with it, but nearly everyone I know has had problems playing defense in the outfield, with the balls bouncing off fielder's heads, players not attempting to catch the ball, etc.

The Showdown mode that they added in this year (in the diamond dynasty mode) is kind of cool. It reminds me of Draft Kings (or whatever they call it in Madden football), and offers a chance to play with players I otherwise would not collect in that mode.

My favorite modes are Franchise and Road to the Show. I'm 100% a single player gamer, and hate playing online.

It's also the reason i asked because i don't really play much besides controlling one character.. so thank you for the insight.

Sorry to hear about the franchise mode being ignored... Fifa is the same but probably a lot worse honestly. They've ignored career mode for years also

Franchise mode was definitely what originally got me into the series but I lost interest in it a few years ago.

Personally I feel like The Show 20 is just the first step in a huge improvement series for the franchise. The game is going to be moving to additional consoles soon and this one now has a ton of licenses for players and advertisements. The series is already the best and most realistic but I feel like it can only get better as a whole.
