At first I was kind of annoyed explaining this story over and over again but the end of this story got me thinking about if others look at the world the same way I do when you get caught in the feels.

So yesterday started off pretty well, I was playing some video games until I had to get to work. So I get ready for work, nice washed and dressed up. I get in my car and ride off into the distance.

So I get to about 2-3 miles away from work, I knew where I was and I honestly could've walked to work from that distance. At first I felt a small rumble in my wheels, i kinda ignored it. And then I felt my wheel veering to the left a small bit because I had to keep my steering wheel to the right just to keep it going straight. I thought it was a little odd, that something wasn't exactly right. I kept going for maybe .5 mile like this until the rumbling got worse and worst to the point where i felt a bump or pop of some sort in my wheel, i slightly lost control of my car but was able to get in control right away to pull off to the side of the road on this stretch of houses.

You guessed right. A nice big ol flat.

I got out of my car to check all of my tires, mind you im barely on the side of the shoulder so i have to be watching out for traffic so that was fun. And sure enough, my front passenger was warm to touch and was losing air quick. I first called my parents and no dice. I then called work saying I might be late and that my next call was going to be to AAA.

So I called AAA and they go through their own thing of verifying you are a member, locating you and so on and so forth and they were like "Yeah so it may take up to 70 minutes for someone to arrive on site" and i'm like ***What*** and then I called work back with the same information.

As time passed I started getting more and more anxiety, mostly because I needed to be at work and I felt really bad for being late but there isn't much I could do about it. I wasn't going to abandon my only means of transportation in front of some random house, Because even though I could walk to work from there, I live about a 30 minute drive away from home.

So about 10 minutes away from when I was supposed to show up to work, I get a call from AAA saying that the guy should be there any moment.

And plot twist

He wasn't.

The guy later explained to me that when they merged the towns together, they messed up a bit and there were multiple of the same numbers in town making it confusing when looking for certain addresses (Since I was stopped right in front of a house, I could see the number to it and gave them that number) So it took about another 20 minutes for the guy to find me. Meanwhile between that time I kept freaking out more and more until I called again to make sure they even had the right address because they had a site to go to that showed where the drivers approx. was and the location of where you were, but where I was compared wasn't correct. After calling they basically asked "Are you on x road?" "yes" "Is this the correct number?" "yes" "Then it should be fine" Well apparently it wasn't.

Anyways. The guy does eventually show up and he seemed like a really nice guy, made me laugh even though I felt like I was going through a rough time, even if it was just a flat. And as i'm showing him where the donut was in my car to get it on and all, he takes an air gun to the lug nuts and tries to loosen them. I think he was able to loosen them a little bit, but when he went to use the like... 4-way wrench? I don't know what to call it. He literally was standing on the thing and it wouldn't budge. Not even slightly.

So in my head i'm freaking out even more because this means I will have to get it towed. Thankfully at least I didn't have to get another truck out there because it was already a tow truck and all I had to do was call AAA to upgrade it to a tow. I am really grateful that the guy gave me a lift to my workplace before heading over to the garage that the car would be dropped off at. I ended up showing up to work about 50 minutes late. And I was on time with showing up 30 minutes early if I had gotten there without a flat.

My night didn't exactly get much better from there but I wont get into those details because that isn't exactly what this post is about. All I will say is i'm a manager and there was money that was here, there and everywhere and it was a pain to figure out.

So my father picks me up from work at 2 am. Yes. 2 am. I work that late since its a 24/7 place. And since he was kinda doing his own thing, we didn't really get home until 3 am and I might've gotten 4 hours of sleep last night.

I got woken up by my mother at crack in the morning, 7:40. I head down to the shop because its only a half of a mile away. I know this for a fact since its next door to the place where I used to work at. I came in explaining my situation, that my car got towed in the middle of the night and I just need someone to put the donut on so I can ride over to another tire shop to get a used tire for a little cheaper. And after waiting for about 30 minutes, they finally get my car back and they were even having troubles getting the lugnut's off. But either way, things were going according to planned.

And then it happened.

They came out to tell me that they finally got the lugnut's off, as my father is standing next to me, and apparently when they were moving my car into the shop they had to jump start it.

You can see where this is heading.

So not only did I need a new tire now, I now needed a new battery. And they didn't even have the right battery at the time to put inside the car. I mean, it wasn't as bad as it could've been I suppose. It was only about 30 minutes away from the distribution center. At this point i'm thinking about how long this all would be so I called in for a personal day at work and took the day off because I wasn't even sure when my car would even be done. I just said screw it at this point and bought the tire new at the place I was getting the battery at.

Now here comes the whole point of this post.

So I went home for a little bit to sort of relax until my car was done. And I came back to the garage, they were just about done so I sat down for a moment or two. And when they got done, they pulled my car up front of the door and I get up to the counter to pay my dues and. Apparently. There was a guy that put 100$ towards my bill, making it half to what it would've been. Now at first I thought it was probably my father who did this, which I was grateful for but I later found out it was in fact someone I didn't know putting that money towards my bill.

Now like, most people feel really happy from getting a gift or such from others right? Like I feel slight happiness of gratitude towards it and it does make me happy, but that isn't where my happiness is steaming from at the moment. I get a lot of joy and a a high of happiness from when others do something out of the goodness of their heart and soul towards others. Like even it being sparing a few dollars for the person ahead of them in line if they're short. It reminds me that there are good people in this world that dont let themselves think that the world revolves around them. And it just makes me so happy thinking about all the good that there is in the world and people willing to do things for others.

And my question really is if others feel the same way. Getting a happiness high from not the fact they were given something, but just sort of the feeling or idea of others giving to others is what makes them happy, If any of that makes sense.

So that was my day.

I'm gonna start by saying I read the whole thing for like no reason considering I had heard all of it already so silly me tricks are for kids. I'm just glad to know you were able to get to work and then home safely, as well as didn't get in trouble for arriving late or anything. At least you weren't in some other state or anything when it happened. I sometimes can get the feeling your describing thinking of good people being out there but it can be really hard to feel nowadays as it seems it's more uncommon for it to happen.

Fyredove : it,s nice to see that despite the trouble you had with your car that something good happened in the end when that man paid $100.00 towards your bill I always feel that whenever people to good towards others it shows that despite all the bad things that happen that there are still people who care in our world two years ago I found a woman,s purse where I work and turned it into the customer service desk and while I wasn,t expecting anything back in return the older lady who had lost it was so grateful that she gave me $20.00 as it turned out she told me she had been selling tickets for her church,s fall supper and she had a large amount of money in her purse but I decided that since the money was given to me that I would pass it on so I gave it to my church for their christmas hampers that they put together each year for the needy.I just have a question regarding AAA down where I live we have a similar program called CAA and if you are a member they allow you to have up to 3 towings a year I was wondering if AAA does the same or is there no limit?
