When I moved back in with my mother awhile back, we were forced to live with somebody whom was a bit weird. But he had this dog there, that could barely see, and his hearing wasn't the greatest. The pit-bull named Buddy. Generic name, right?
Well, he actually turned out to be really cool, he acted like a sweetheart and would cuddle you on the drop of a hat. When he got excited he would jump on the door. Which annoyed everyone apparently, but I found it funny. I made great friends with this dog.
However, now that I have moved across the U.S, I found out that his hearing and vision has gotten worse, and he's having trouble moving. My mother certainly can't afford to get a vet to look at him, and I'm sure if he can't move well, it's probably hip dysplasia.
I found this out right before Christmas Eve, and I've been torn up about it since. I'm going to try to use my tax return later in the year to possibly get a vet to do something to make his life easier, he's only nine and pit-bulls can live until they're fifteen.
From what I know about this dog, he loves being alive, he just can't live with everything he's got due to his issues. I really hope things work out, but I'm having trouble getting an ID in this state, as I haven't gotten much mail that provides proof of identity.
My ID later this year, which I don't think will affect my tax return, but it concerns me.

pennylessz : Do you have a utility bill? Alot of times they will let you use your expired ID and a utility bill to get a new one.

BTW I feel your pain. I put my little girl down 2 years ago and now I just have my Charles Barkley,he's going strong at 11 years old and I've never had a Beagle make it past 10 and I think he will likely live to 13 or 14. Still perfect sign and hearing. Knock on wood! Im really sorry to hear about all this. Animals are one of lifes few bright spots, dogs especially. Such companionship and ask for nothing in return but food.

Blacksmith84 : I'm lucky enough to live somewhere that I'm not asked to pay bills. The issue is that there's almost no employment opportunities around here. Considering all of my issues, I should probably just get disability, since I can't drive out to somewhere better. But my issues make me pretty stubborn on that front. If I'm ever gonna make real money, I'll probably need to kick my design and scripting in gear, because it's going to have to be freelance.

I really hate to hear about animals suffering and people not being able to help them so I really hope your tax return idea works. I don't really have much to suggest when it comes to getting an ID cause I myself haven't been able to get one yet.
