It forever just to get out of the tutorial, and unlike Midgar, a school isn't exactly thrilling. Plus Leon walks like a slug. Then, all the combat actions take at least one decade. I really can't get very far into it past the first town. The magic system change irked me too.

The graphics are really stunning though, I need to beat this eventually, even if it kinda puts me to sleep.

Does the pace ever pick up?

pennylessz : I've never been much for RPG's other than Super Mario RPG and the Superstar Saga games. Just doesn't hook me in. Plus grinding out battles to upgrade is tedious to me.
