Screen problems when playing on RGR Plugin required emulators

when I try to play games on RGR plugin required emulators (like Visual Boy Advance or ZSNES), the screen tends to look like it does in this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/g86Lc7l


I've also tried on Gens and Null DC - still have the tan "bar" at the top of the screen on Gens (wasn't so much of problem with Sonic 1, admittedly), and wasn't there at all with Null DC (at least not once the game started. Since the plugin is updated to the latest version on my computer, is there anything else I can do to solve this issue?
