Let's see... Most of the time no. When I mean most, I mean 85 to 90% of time, they either screw up the plot, have bad voice acting, or just screwed up something else. Then again, there are the good Video Game Movies such the Resident Evil movie. Though, they are the only shiners out of the rest. However, your mileage may very depending on which movie is bad, mediocre, or great.

Yeah, definetly not. They always seem to butcher it, Max Payne, sucked, Mortal Kombat, was okay but after the first one it just turned into more of a low budget film, you and I made, Final Fantasy, sucked, Hitman, was alright but still pretty much sucked, Street Fighter, never seen it, uhmmmm, Tomb Raider was prolly the best out of all them, which is part of the reason it probably came out with sequels....I mean for the most part, video game movies lose there original image and just flop when they come out, Hollywood just needs to leave it alone or let gamers direct the movies, I don't know, somethings gotta give though because the video game movies I seen for the most part SUCKED!!!!! LOL!!!!!!------->

I think the real problem is that too many gamers expect the movie to be "just like the game" when the game itself doesn't make a good movie.

And when the movie doesn't follow "storyline" exactly then they get all pissy.

I've enjoyed most video game to movie attempts. Not all of them are all that good... but I still enjoy watching most of them.

Most of the time they suck, but a lot of good ones could get good adaptations.

Double Dragon couldve been a really good adaptation, it's just two brothers beating the s*** out gangs and rescuing their girlfriend.

Though I have to admit Uwe Boll's adaptation are alright, House of the Dead was actually quite good, however Alone in the Dark and Postal are a different story...

The only good thing about the first Resident Evil movie was the scene where 75% of the cast dies by a f***ing laser!
